They Call Me Ishmael...or Matt. Whichever.

This is my first post of many in my new blog, based on my Educational Technologies course. Creating a blog was easy, updating it's look, however...yeesh. Try to make a clock, you end up with an ill-fitting ad box!

This isn't the first time I tried to make a blog, though. I almost did once. But that idea was lost until my class required me to dig up the effort again. Looking at all the design features and the required creativity, I'm beginning to understand why I stopped, but I don't think I'll regret restarting any time soon.

Anyway, I'm Matt. As I said, I'm in a class teaching the use of technology in education, so I'm learning how to use the internet besides checking out lolcats. I think this'll be one of the more interesting courses I'm taking, as I love this age of technology we're living in. My advice to everyone reading this is to embrace the new age. Sure, there are needless experiments, research, and developments. Do a google search for "New Jersey Robot" and you'll have a great example of potential being used wrongly. But for every development that goes astray, there are thousands that break new ground in entertainment, medicine, and even business.

Basically, what I'm saying is don't look at the burgeoning technological wave as humanity not being satisfied, but as humanity wanting better. And if those are the same thing...well, they are. But the latter sounds more optimistic!
